The Art collective transparadiso invites you to join artists, thinkers and active citizens in open dialogues about the changes brought by Malta’s urban development. Can we find ways of living together within the conflicts between economic prosperity and re-discovering our community values?

transparadiso will be there encouraging dialogue, listening to and recording points of view to later transform them into song lyrics to create a performative dialogue using Għana (traditional Maltese folk music) as a means for discussing conflicts, which will be created by an għannej (folk singer).

The outcome will then be performed as part of next year’s European Capital of Culture for all to experience.

The sessions will be held on the 19th and 20th July 2017 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at the St Elmo Examination Centre, St Elmo Place, Valletta.

The sessions will consist of three identical 2-hour sessions, and we ask you to come share your thoughts on questions such as:

What do I miss, what am I afraid of losing, what do I find problematic, what do I treasure, what am I proud of and most importantly, what do I want to change?!

Registration for the sessions is open until the 18th of July. Please confirm your attendance by sending an email on [email protected].

Come join us and be heard!
