ManaTapu produce and play music with a deep Maltese cultural influence, locally and overseas. Initially rooted in reggae and ska, they also draw inspiration from a host of other sounds and genres that run the gamut from funk to blues, rock music to folk, popular music to polka, and even hip-hop to punk rock.

They are a direct result of a modern, dynamic and cultural landscape here in Malta. Their lyrics range from English to Maltese, to Spanish and French, and their multicultural influences are a core element of their sound. ManaTapu are an authentic reflection and an ambassador of the modern multicultural Maltese music and arts scene.

ManaTapu would like to invite you to their new LP launch, “Tuatara” on the 25th of May 2018 at Ta’ Fra Ben in Qawra. The audience will be presented with a warm up concert featuring Slackliners and several other bands prior to the launch, and a DJ set to finish off the night.

This event is endorsed by the Valletta 2018 Foundation.
