The Valletta 2018 Foundation has opened a call for applications for the fourth edition of Storyworks. This is an open call for experienced and emerging screenwriters, producers, directors and editors who will receive professional training in developing feature film or television drama projects intended for production in 2017/2018.

Eight writers and eight creative collaborators will be selected for this programme. Writers are required to submit scripts (or script outlines) for feature-length projects, which creative collaborators will then work on.

The intensive course will be tutored by three professionals: Professor of Screenwriting at the University of Southern California David Howard, script development consultant and teacher at the University of Southern California, Martin Daniel and international film consultant Mary Kate O Flanagan. The tutors deliver training in screenwriting through project development to industry professionals worldwide and have worked with a number of people in the industry ranging from beginners to international award-winning screenwriters. Storyworks 2016 takes place from the 13th to the 19th March, 2016.
