Many islands in the Mediterranean Sea have unique and curious stories to share. Calypso Project: Stories of Islands invites you to undertake a musical journey through twelve Mediterranean islands, wherein their stories are told through music, words and musical instruments.
A family of musicians composed of father, mother, son, and daughter-in-law, sing folk music in Italian, Sicilian, Sabir, Sardinian, and Spanish, while playing unusual musical instruments together on stage – the hurdy-gurdy, nickel harp, lira, accordion, shell, trumpet-violin, autoharp, and many others.
