The International Youth in Concert is a yearly event that is held in one European Capital of Culture in collaboration with the EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee. This event brings together children’s’ choirs from Japan and the host country, and provides them an immersive cultural experience through an exchange and musical collaboration.

Valletta 2018 was chosen as the European Capital of Culture for 2018 to host this edition of the International Youth in Concert. A Choir from the city of Ise, Japan will be joining the choir from the School of Performing Arts, Malta, in a collaborative performance at St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral on the 8th June 2018 between 6-7.30pm. Entrance is free but seating is limited. This concert will also include a short rendition of GħaNasori, a cultural collaboration between Maltese Għana and the Japanese Kagura (Nasori).
