Teatru Manoel brings a new production of “Orphée et Eurydice” (1859 Berlioz revision), where music and dance come together in this story of loss and obsession.
The show will be held on 16th, 17th, 19th and 20th March at 8pm (pre-opera talk at 7.15pm).
Composed by Christoph Willibald Gluck, based on the myth of Orpheus and set to a libretto by Jean Louis Molineit, it features leading local soloists and chorus with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philip Walsh. Directed by Denise Mulholland.
Re-imagined in the Victorian era, this production promises to be both moving and visually striking.
