MOVE Week is a Valletta 2018 collaboration with Kunsill Malti għall–Isport and is part of the Now We Move campaign which is aimed at battling inactivity and obesity around Europe.

MOVE Week 2015 included activities such as ‘Games in the City’ and ‘Walk the Towers’ aimed at children of all ages. In ‘Games in the City’ children took part in sports activities around Valletta and Smart City while in ‘Walk the Towers’ they were asked to participate in a guided walk from Valletta to Zurrieq in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Other activities such as ‘Cama Cama Superjump’ and ‘Zumbo 500’ were aimed at secondary school children to encourage physical activity. In ‘Cama Cama Superjump’, children got to jump in the sea wearing hilarious costumes, while in ‘Zumbo 500’, students were given a good fun workout with Zumba instructors along with other entertaining activities.
