Pjazza f’Pjazza is a festival that celebrates the locality of Żabbar and its community. Organised by the Żabbar Local Council, in collaboration with the Valletta 2018 Foundation and Pjazza Teatru Rjal, the vibrant event infuses Żabbar with a night of music, food and art, while at the same time providing a platform for international participants to join and interact with the local Żabbar community.

Supported by Valletta 2018, this street festival includes the #IamHazZabbar project, which is an audio-visual theatrical experience that revolves around Żabbarin – the people resident to Żabbar. #IamHazZabbar includes a series of workshops in which young people from Żabbar and neighbouring localities learn skills to allow them to act as storytellers for the Żabbar community. Workshops include photography, interviewing, video editing, as well as music production. The final product is then showcased during Pjazza f’Pjazza, in tandem with performances and works produced by some of Malta’s leading artists and writers who also hail from the town of Żabbar.
