By definition, ‘be wild’ means ‘to be very enthusiastic about something or someone’. ‘BEWYLD’ is all that and more; a mini-DIY festival devoted to showcasing lo-fi, quirky music such as: 1-800 GIRLS, bark bark disco, Capitol K, Childsplay, Good Posture, Hearts Beating In Time, Incotoyable, Ménage à Trois, My Panda Shall Fly, Nabihah Iqbal, Nicky Slim, Princess Wonderful, Roxmangatt, SUNTA, The Suburbanite, and YEWS.
The festival, organised by Be-Wild events and Valletta 2018, will be happening at the Rocky Valley Garden (ex-Tigullio) on the 21st and 22nd September 2018. It brings together several local and international acts on a new kind of platform, where artists and audiences meet in a friendly, collaborative and creative space. As an event that also does away with the conventional notion of supporting or opening acts, it’s a great informal space where established and upcoming musicians and their audiences can connect while enjoying an eclectic platter of musical styles.
