Derry/Londonderry, the United Kingdom’s City of Culture 2013, is hosting an exhibition which looks at the early Black Civil Rights movement in Derry and Northern Ireland through a variety of media, such as historical photographs, documents and contemporary art.
The exhibition is curated by Lynette Yiadom Boakye and Maolíosa Boyle, and will run from the 25th October to 20th December.
The exhibition looks into the struggle of achieving equality of citizenship in Derry and Northern Ireland, and how civil and human rights are still issues to this very day.
