Għanafest will celebrate its tenth edition and it is only fitting to celebrate this with an added dash of zest. This year’s edition will differ from past editions, and will instead be a chain of events that will take followers to different locations, in the heart of some of Malta’s oldest villages.
The festival kicks off on the 23rd & 24th of June in Żejtun, and will continue on the 28th & 29th of June at the Imnarja festivities in Buskett. On the evening of the 29th, the festival comes to an end with an event in Birżebbuġa.
The festival will feature our local Għana singers, bringing a wide range of different forms of local folk song. It will also feature local produce, an artisan market and a children’s area that will certainly make it a great day out for the whole family.
