Brigitte Gauci Borda school of Dance is proud to introduce the highest calibre of classical ballet training to all young children, teenagers & adults – both boys and girls. This will be an intensive 10 day ballet programme, with teachers from the prestigious Royal Ballet Company from London: Amanda Eyles, Ballet Mistress & Rehearsal Director and Brazilian Ballerina Soloist, Mayara Magri and guest teacher from the Bolshoi Theatre, Kristian Ratevossian.
The focus of the International Ballet Malta summer programme is to identify and develop young talent, working towards the highest levels, enabling those who want to enter into a professional career. Our goal is to nurture students in the classical art form, building confidence and sparking a life long appreciation of the arts. All classes will be taught by current professionals from The Royal Ballet Company, Bolshoi Theatre, Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera and Ballet de L’Opera de Marseille. They will be teaching: Classical Ballet Technique, Pointe Work, Benesh Notation and Repertoire from the ballet Giselle which will be a preparation for a future full length production, with principal dancers from The Royal Ballet Company, giving students the opportunity to perform along side professional dancers and giving them a wealth of valuable experience.
At the end of the International Ballet Malta Summer Programme the students will be given a certificate of attendance and have a chance to win a scholarship in the heart of London, at Danceworks International Ballet Academy in Mayfair, with guest teachers from Dutch Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet and The Royal Ballet. The successful student will also be given the opportunity to perform at Sadler’s Well Theatre in London.
