Ma Rridx Immur (I Don’t Want to Go) is a play organised by Teatru Manoel and the rubberbodies collective, supported by Arts Council Malta. Ma Rridx Immur is on at Teatru Manoel on the 20th and 21st March at 8pm. The play’s script, written by Leanne Ellul, won the Francis Ebejer Award. The plays tells the story of terminally-ill 20-year-old Casey who sees death as insignificant next to her everyday woes. Directed by Jimmy Vella, the play revolves around the turmoil of Casey’s relationships with other characters such as her friend, her father, her boyfriend and his grandmother. The play explores the themes of life, love, rage, death and the future.
