Meeting the Odyssey is a superb collaborative project in which artists and organizers hailing from different backgrounds and countries travel together to perform theatre productions and deliver workshops.

The project, which is part of the Malta International Arts Festival 2015, incorporates aspects of the Odyssey, modern-day themes relating to Europe, as well as, a collection of stories compiled from various exchanges with the local popular. Everything is set on the ship, which has voyaged from the Baltic to the Mediterranean, bringing different people together at every stop it takes. Through this voyage, synergies at a European level can be developed thanks to the discovery of new artistic landscape and cultural attitudes.

Artists from the Meeting the Odyssey project will also be collaborating with teenagers from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ during Instants to prove that art is not solely created for entertainment purposes, but it can also serve as a catalyst to bring about positive social change through active participation.

Meeting the Odyssey is being held in collaboration with Transport Malta and Cospicua Local Council. Entrance is free of charge. Performances are taking place at Dock Nr. 1, Bormla are running on 10-12th, 16-18th July at 9pm. Instants will be taking place on 13-15th July at 7pm.
