Our European Capital of Culture year unveils Teatru Manoel’s annual major opera: Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Happening on the 5th, 7th and 9th of March 2018, and directed by Jack Furness, with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Philip Walsh, this new and daring production of the iconic masterpiece is the second of three operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo Da Ponte that are being produced by Teatru Manoel.

Malta’s lavish national theatre frames this definitive portrait of a rake, a young libertine whose racy exploits scandalize all who cross his path – until he meets one who cannot be swayed by charisma. In 2019, audiences can look forward to a third production in the series, Così fan tutte, ossia La scuola degli amanti.

Don Giovanni will be held on the 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th March at 7.30pm at Teatru Manoel, Valletta. Get your tickets from here.
