The Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes in collaboration with Valletta 2018 Foundation and the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) is organising a seminar entitled Playful Learning in STEM – Promoting Game-based Learning in STEM Education. The aim of the seminar is to provide STEM educators with a theoretical and practical underpinning for the use of games in STEM Education.

Dr Lauri Järvilehto is the keynote speaker for the seminar. Dr Järvilehto is a former educational consultant at Rovio Entertainment (the company related to the highly acclaimed game Angry Birds) and co-founder/chairman of Lightneer, a mobile-gaming startup focusing on games for learning.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday 27th June 2018 between 8.30am and 12.15pm at MITA Data Centre (Triq il-Ferrovija, Santa Venera), as per programme below.
