The Last Five Years is a powerful musical about two twenty-something New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over a period of five years. The Last Five Years is on at the Blue Box, M Space, Msida on the 20-22 and 27-29 November.

Written by Jason Robert Brown, a Tony Award winning composer, the show revolves around the characters of Cathy, a spirited struggling actress played by Rachel Fabri, who narrates her story in reverse, and up and coming novelist Jamie, played by Joseph Zammit, who tells his story chronologically.  These characters meet only once during the course of the play, during their wedding in the middle.

The Last Five Years is directed by anothy bezzina and has music by Jonathan Ellul accompanied by a band of 6 musicians. Vocal coaching by Cathy Lawlor and set design by Aldo Moretti.
