It is a fact that art has the potential to change our world. It is also true that people, at some point or another, will pass through an area which may seem unsafe or dilapidated, and over time, people starts to ignore the area’s bad state as they become more and more accustomed to it. The City as an Exhibition focuses on these neglected areas around Pilsen’s centre to raise awareness using artistic intervention. From April to October 2015, an array of artists will set up installations in seven locations around Pilsen as a way raising awareness about neglected areas, as well as beautifying these very areas.
Artists include: Matěj Al-Ali, Prof. Jiří Beránek, Petr Dub, Pavel Karous, Eva Koťátková, Dominik Lang, Michal Moravčík, Tomáš Moravec, Michal Pěchouček, Pavla Scéranková, Michal Šeba, Benedikt Tolar, Dušan Zahoranský, Martin Zet.
