A contemporary performance to take place during lent, Kristu fi Strada Stretta is an original work in Maltese by actors/directors Carlos Farrugia and Joe Galea.

The idea came about from the performance space itself; Splendid House in Strait Street. Sought after as an area of entertainment in times of the British rule, Strait Street is regaining popularity as an area of alternative entertainment in Malta.

While period props and costumes will be used, for an hour-and-a-half, the audience will be presented with situations and characters of relevance today. The performance is based on real life situations of people who lived and witnessed events in Strait Street, as depicted in various writings.

The Valletta 2018 Foundation and the Valletta Local Council are supporting the project.

The performance will be held on two consecutive weekends – the 20th, 21st and 22nd March and the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th March and 1st April.
