The project outlines the influence and progression of musical instruments while giving the public the opportunity to enjoy and examine antique instruments from different periods of our history.

The project hosts a programme of musical performances by local and international artists in the run up to a major exhibition of instruments sourced from Maltese collections. The exhibition will dive deep into the culture of Maltese musical instruments with sounds that span from the prehistoric era to the nineteenth century and which demonstrate how local music bears the mark of the great Empires that swept the Mediterranean throughout history.
