Lungomare Mediterraneo brings together Heritage Malta and the city of Šibenik in Croatia to discuss the value of cultural heritage.

Organized by the Embassy of Malta and the Embassy of Croatia in Rome in collaboration with Heritage Malta, this seminar is part of the programme of activities of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) cluster in Rome.

The event will take the form of a seminar and is aimed to explore the importance of cultural heritage for national and European identity and its role in the future. The event consists of presentations, a discussion as well as tour of Fort St. Angelo. Indeed, the seminar is part of the overall efforts to promote the European Year of Cultural Heritage whose objective is to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe’s cultural heritage and to reinforce a sense of belonging.

The event will be held at Fort St Angelo in Birgu on Saturday 17 November 2018, starting at 13:30, and is open to the public free of charge.
