The Valletta 2018 Foundation is endorsing a series of live events happening at the Beer Cave in Valletta throughout 2018. The venue is a platform for new artists to perform, and also serves as an artistic venue which aims to promote artists continuously. The Beer Cave will be hosting artists from various sectors, such as music, visuals and acting.
The Beer Cave has been hosting highly established artists from Malta an from abroad such as William Mangion, Adrian Irrussu & Nadine Axisa, Joe Rosco, Angie Vella Zarb, Ozzylino, Manatapu & Jogy-Bo, Bernie & Pod, Texanna, For Funk Sakes, Paul Pitura, Steve & the Dodos, Vintage Brew, Cheryl Balzan, Janice Azzopardi, The Stents, The Plakard Project, Karen Harvery & Kurt, Native, and Sigo.
Events planned throughout 2018 include:
- Acoustic Performances: including the participation local and foreign artists who have integrated and settled in Malta and those in the process of doing so
- Live Bands: Bands and music projects based in Malta and Europe
- Singer Songwriter Slam: A contest of original artists developing their music in Malta, and in which a winner will be determined and will be supported to be produced
- Open Mic: An evening dedicated to local and foreign artists who have integrated and settled in Malta and who would like to expose their talent.
The events will be happening weekly, up until December of 2018. The events are aimed at artists of any genre, art lovers in any sector from around the world, tourists, students, musicians, and a lot more.
