The Strada Stretta Concept, under the auspices of the Valletta 2018 Foundation presents the opera ‘Turandot’, adapted and directed by Dr Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci.

Telling the tale of Prince Calaf in his attempt to win the hard-hearted Princess Turandot, the opera will be performed at 20:00 on Friday the 24th of November 2017 at the Splendid in Strada Stretta.

Gozzi’s work created as a provocation against and to spite Goldoni. Taken up by Schiller, Brecht, Puccini, Vachtangov, Busoni, and others….comes to Strada Stretta, this time with Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci’s adaptation and direction. Decapitated heads, broken hearts and three riddles will be taking over Strada Stretta. Join the Unknown Prince, Princess Turandot, Liu, Ping, Pang & Pong … and many a head.
