Registration for the Valletta 2018’s annual seminar Culture Matters, which presents findings on the impact of Valletta 2018, is open. The free seminar will be taking place on Thursday 1stMarch at 9am at the Malta Chamber of Commerce in Valletta.

The seminar includes discussions by the researchers tasked with assessing the impact of the European Capital of Culture title and the Foundation’s work over the past three years. The seminar focuses on the topics of cultural participation, branding, tourism, the impact on the community and the impact of the infrastructural projects such as The Valletta Design Cluster, Is-Suq tal-Belt, MUŻA and Strait Street.

The seminar also features a guest presentation by Szilvia Nagy from LOCOP, a research organisation focused on cultural policy and supra-regional-funding across the EU.

Following the seminar, the Valletta 2018 Foundation is collaborating with Pecha Kucha Valletta for an informal networking event on Friday 2nd of March, at 7.30pm at the La Valette Band Club, Republic Street, Valletta.
