Formed by Slovaks Martin Kilvády, Milan Tomášik, Peter Jaško, Anton Lachký and Milan Herich, Les Slovaks believe that a dancer has full creative control over a dance. The dancers, who have worked with numerous dance groups in the past such as Ultima Vez Wima Vandekeybuse and the Akram Khan Company, not only share a nationality, but also a diligent work ethic as well as a great passion for dance. Graduates of Conservatory of J. L. Bella in Banská Bystrica and the Belgian school P.A.R.T.S., the dancers currently reside in Brussels. Fragments, a tragicomedy piece that mirrors the complex and often contradictory nature of human life, is a breathtaking performance full of professional dance, expressive humour and heart-touching moments. Les Slovaks are the original creators and choreographers of Fragments, and together with the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conduction Steven Decraene, they will take the audience’s breath away this January 2015 in Pilsen.
Les Slovaks will be performing Fragments on 22-23 January 2015 at 7:00p.m. at the J. K. Tyl Theatre, New Theatre. For more information, please visit the Pilsen 2015 official website.
