St James Cavalier is screening Everyman on the 16^th July at 8pm, with an encore screening on the 25^th July at 9pm. Directed by the National Theatre’s new director Rufus Norris, this production focuses on the character of Everyman, played by BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is forced to abandon his successful life when Death comes for him. Adapted by poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy, the play touches upon a number of philosophical debates such as whether we can only understand our lives through death, as well as distinguishing between good and evil.
