Faith, Hope u Charity is an original Maltese play penned by celebrated local author Immanuel Mifsud. Directed by Josette Ciappara and produced by Mario-Philip Azzopardi for Staġun Teatru Malti, Faith, Hope u Charity is a war story – but it doesn’t have much to do with the three planes mentioned in title that protected Malta during World War II. Rather, the play revolves around three characters who find themselves caught up in a war torn Malta. It is the story of Marija, a 20 year old Maltese woman who nurses the wounded back to health and while caring for the injured, she encounters two pilots who develop feelings for her.
Faith, Hope u Charity premieres on July 22nd and will run for 8 outdoor performances at Fort St. Elmo on the 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 31st July and 1st and 2nd August. Maestro Dominic Galea has written the musical score for the production which will be playing live at the Fort. This also marks Karmen Azzopardi’s return to the stage after a ten year absence.
